Welcome to Stringy! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Stringy mobile application, features, services, and related technology (collectively, the "App" or "Service").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Stringy, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

  • Agreement: By creating an account or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age (or the legal age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Stringy. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.

2. Description of Service

Stringy provides racket management, string tracking, acoustic tension estimation, stringing job queuing, and communication management tools for sports players and equipment stringers.

3. Subscriptions, In-App Purchases, and Billing

Stringy offers both free features and paid subscription tiers (such as Stringy Pro and Stringer Tiers) accessed via In-App Purchases ("IAP").

  • Payment Processing: Payments for subscriptions and purchases are processed directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You agree to abide by the respective store's terms of service regarding payments and billing.

  • Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (e.g., monthly) unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

  • Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's store settings (Apple ID Settings on iOS or Google Play Subscriptions on Android).

  • Refunds: All refund requests are governed and handled directly by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. Stringy does not process direct monetary refunds for store transactions.

4. Acoustic Tension Measurement & Technical Disclaimer

  • Estimations for Guidance Only: Stringy provides acoustic frequency and tension calculations based on sound measurements and mathematical algorithms. These results are estimates intended solely for personal tracking, comparative analysis, and guidance.

  • No Guarantee: Stringy does not guarantee 100% precision or structural safety when restringing or measuring equipment. Environmental factors, device microphone quality, room acoustics, and string type may affect accuracy.

  • Equipment Safety: Stringy is not liable for structural damage, frame breakage, string snapping, or injury resulting from equipment maintenance, stringing techniques, or reliance on tension readings generated by the App.

5. Account Registration and Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

  • You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account or submitting client/job details.

  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

6. User Conduct and Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App or its tension algorithms.

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purpose.

  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the App or underlying servers.

  • Share, upload, or transmit offensive, defamatory, or infringing content.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, logos, graphics, software, code, algorithms, and design elements associated with Stringy are the exclusive property of Stringy and its licensors. Downloading or using the App does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights in our Service.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that harms the Service or other users. You may terminate your relationship with Stringy at any time by deleting your account and removing the App from your device.

9. Limitation of Liability & Warranties

  • "As Is" Basis: Stringy is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

  • Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stringy and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App or updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of Stringy after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
